ABOUT
After working as an educator with children with and without special needs for over seventeen years and watching them struggle to meet state and federal academic standards, I have developed a basic skills academic support program that "tailored" instruction to meet the student's needs. Our academic coaching services and basic skills tutoring instruction is designed to bridge the gap between the deficits of students and the standards they are expected to meet. I can't count the number of times that I have experienced parents becoming frustrated with the various challenges of public/private/charter schools and desiring to educate their children at home. With parents not having the educational awareness needed to keep up with the changing pace of education and the breakdown in communication between home and school, their frustrations were understandable. These frustrations and struggles birthed Exceptional Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services where parents can have a peace of mind that their child will be able to keep up academically without the fear of their child possibly being left behind.
Tina Howard
Founder & CEO
Tina has over 14 years of educational experience and has worked with students of various academic abilities during her career. She began her tutorial career in 2011 in Houma, Louisiana. She founded Exceptional Tutoring Services in 2015 which has been a blessing to families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She has a Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's in Education from William Carey University both in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It has been her goal to bridge communication between home and school so students can succeed academically.
Khyla Jones
Operational Manager
Khyla provides administrative support to our office team and human resources department. Khyla attends Tarrant County College where she is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Khyla has been instrumental in the development of Exceptional Tutoring since 2015.
Karla Silva
Client Services Manager/ Bilingual Tutor
Karla provides administrative support to our clients and tutorial team. She also provides bilingual tutoring to our bilingual clients and our English speaking clients wanting to learn Spanish. Karla graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington where she majored in Elementary Education (EC-6) with a concentration in Bilingual Communication. Karla has been a vital part of ETACS since 2016.
